Foreign Minister meets Algerian counterpart in Jeddah

Ways to boost cooperation between Tunisia and Algeria, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, energy and transport, were discussed at a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, and his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, in Jeddah. The meeting is part of Nabil Ammar's participation in the ministerial preparatory meeting for the 32nd Arab Summit, which will be held on May 19 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. According to a ministry statement, the meeting highlighted the solidity of the historical relations between the two peoples and the common will to strengthen them in the interest of both countries. The two parties emphasised the need to continue holding sectoral ministerial committees between the two countries, in anticipation of the holding of the Follow-up Committee between the two Foreign Ministers and in preparation for the meeting of the High Joint Committee. The two ministers also discussed the items on the agenda of the Arab Summit with a view to coordinating both countries' positions.
