BARCELONE, Espagne, 22 avr. 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Le défilé de mode le plus exclusif de la Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (semaine de la mode nuptiale de Barcelone) a enchanté plus de 450 invités hier soir, lesquels ont profité d’un spectacle unique dans le bâtiment historique de la Llotja de Mar. Les 30 créations de Giambattista Valli ont rayonné lors d’un défilé extraordinaire. Les silhouettes se sont succédé, illustrant à merveille le style nuptial contemporain de M. Le défilé a mis en scène 10 robes de la troisième « Love Collection », 10 silhouettes emblématiques des première et deuxième « Love Collections » et 10 créations de Haute Couture. Celles-ci ont reflété la magnificence et le savoir-faire des Ateliers, se démarquant des rituels classiques du mariage et se concentrant sur l’importance des émotions du « moment » et la joie des célébrations. Man allegedly assaulted to death over ‘witchcraft’

A 35-year-old farmer was arrested for murder at about 02h00 on Sunday at Graswerd farm in Dordabis. In a weekend crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force, it is alleged that the suspect went to the 42-year-old victim's room and accused him of bewitching him (the suspect). 'It is further alleged that the suspect hit the victim with an iron bar on the head which resulted in the victim to fall down. The suspect allegedly grabbed another iron bar and brick and repeatedly hit the victim on the head until he died. The suspect allegedly tried to flee but was caught by other farm workers who called the police.' The deceased was identified as Paulus Ndjamba and his next of kin have been informed. Meanwhile, Jonas Tuhafeni Neonya, a member of the police's Serious Crime Investigation Sub-Division died in a car accident on Saturday. It is alleged that Neonya was driving a silver Corolla Conquest on the main road between Okahao and Tsandi when he lost control over the vehicle, causing it to overturn. The incid ent happened at about 21h50 at Ondelishana village in the Omusati Region. Neonya was rushed to the Okahao State Hospital, where he was declared dead. His next of kin are informed. In another case, a 24-year-old man was arrested on charges of kidnapping, rape and assault by threatening of a 27-year-old woman in Karibib. The incident allegedly occurred at 01h00 on Friday, about 1km from Karibib town towards the Navachab gold mine. 'It is alleged that the suspect and the victim had met for the first time the same day at 11h00 and exchanged cellphone numbers. Later at about 22h00, the suspect phoned the victim and met at a service station where the victim entered the suspect's car and they drove away. Government committed to enhancing the condition of roads in Kumasi – Asenso-Boakye

Mr. Francis Asenso-Boakye, the Minister for Roads and Highways has expressed the government's commitment to enhancing the condition of roads in Kumasi, and across the country. He has therefore asked the people in the area to have faith in the government and support it to ensure speedy completion of the roads and other road networks within the Greater Kumasi metropolitan area. Mr Boakye, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, stated this, when he led a team to conduct an inspection of road infrastructure in the Kwadaso Municipality. Among the roads inspected were Tanoso market to Pokukrom, Tanoso to Takyiman, Tanoso to Topre, Anhwiakwanta to Kessben, Lazab to Nwamase road, and the ongoing construction of Kwadaso to Trabuom, among others. The purpose of the inspection was to assess the condition of the roads and identify the areas which need development. Mr. Asenso-Boakye, speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the inspection expressed satisfaction at the progress of work done by the contractors so far. The Minister said the roads, when completed, would ease the stress of drivers and passengers in the area passing through every day commuting from and to the area. He said the massive road construction currently ongoing across the country was a clear manifestation of President Akufo-Addo's commitment to improve road infrastructure and transportation systems in the country. The Minister, therefore, entreated all contractors to expedite their work to ensure timely completion. Prof. Kingsley Nyarko, the MP for Kwadaso, said the completion of the roads within the constituency would enhance economic development and make it one of the beautiful constituencies within Kumasi. Police arrest two in connection with death of US national

The police have arrested two persons in connection with the death of a United States of America national at Nyinasen near Cape Coast in the Central Region. The two suspects, Wisdom Sete, a Togolese, and Yussif Afrim, were arrested on Friday 19th April 2024, at Assin Prasso for their involvement in the alleged murder of Naomi Jehubiyah. A statement issued in Accra by Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director Public Affairs, Ghana Police Service, said a preliminary police investigation indicated that Sete, believed to be the fiancée of the deceased, allegedly conspired with Afrim to kill Jehubiyah. It said the body had been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for preservation and autopsy. The statement said the two vehicles belonging to the deceased had been retrieved from the suspects who were currently in custody assisting Police investigations. Source: Ghana News Agency
