GFA to Address Concerns Over Black Stars Budget Cuts

Accra: The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced its intention to make comprehensive remarks following recent statements by the Sports Ministry about reductions in the Black Stars budget. The Ministry held a press conference on September 2, 2025, detailing their efforts to save public funds for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.

According to Ghana News Agency, the GFA released a statement expressing their commitment to clarifying the issues raised by the Sports Minister, Mr. Kofi Iddie Adams. The GFA plans to address these concerns after the match against Mali next Monday.

The statement from GFA emphasized the importance of focusing on the immediate goal of the World Cup qualifying matches. The Black Stars are set to play Chad on September 4th, 2025, and Mali on September 8th, 2025. The GFA urged the nation to support the team during these crucial matches, highlighting the unity and commitment of Ghanaian supporters as a significant strength for the team.
