Sunyani: Mr Ransford Antwi, an Independent Parliamentary Candidate in the 2024 elections in the Bono Region, has urged Members of Parliament in the region to set aside political differences and focus on the comprehensive development of the area. He emphasized that the growth of the region should be a collective priority, irrespective of political affiliations, and called on party executives and state ministers to address the infrastructure deficit in the Bono Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Antwi, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Suncity Group of Companies, made these remarks during the 2025 Annual Convention of the Council for Bono and Ahafo Citizens in North America (COBAANA) held in Denver, Colorado. A statement from Mr Antwi’s office, shared with the Ghana News Agency, praised COBAANA for their dedication and contributions to the region’s development.
The statement highlighted the importance of supporting emerging leaders in the region without regard to their political parties, as the region seeks its next influential figures like Kofi Abrefa Busia and JH Mensah. It also expressed gratitude to COBAANA for their support during Mr Antwi’s political endeavors, underscoring the association’s non-partisan stance and its encouragement throughout his political journey.
In recognition of his contributions, COBAANA presented Mr Antwi with a special certificate of appreciation, acknowledging his dedication to both the association and the broader development of the Bono Region.
