Cape Coast: The Mfantsipim 150th Anniversary Planning Committee has announced the grand unveiling of the official logo for the school's 150th anniversary celebration on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The unveiling of the logo marks the commencement of activities leading to the historic celebration of Mfantsipim, Ghana's premier secondary school, renowned for its contributions to national development through education, leadership, and service.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued by the Planning Committee described the event as not just a school celebration but a national recognition of 150 years of secondary education in Ghana. It also highlights Mfantsipim's pivotal role in shaping the country's educational landscape and producing distinguished leaders across various sectors.
The event will be graced by notable personalities, including Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, Acting Director-General of the Ghana Education Service; Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana; and Mr. Moses Kwesi Baiden Jnr., Ebusuapanyin of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA).
