A ministerial working session was held on Friday evening at the Government Palace in Kasbah, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Najla Boden Romdhane, to examine the amended ware potato stock programme for the 2023 quarterly season.

According to a report from the Prime Ministry, the working session reviewed a number of data relating to the volume of the adjusted stock of ware potatoes in cooperation with the various parties concerned, in order to cover national consumption over the next period.

According to the same source, emphasis was placed on the specific features of the current season in terms of the volume of local production and supply, in addition to the programmes and objectives relating to protecting producers against the deterioration of prices and encouraging them to participate in the planting and maintenance of seasonal potatoes and to ensure the balance of this system, on the one hand, and to guarantee the preservation of the consumer's purchasing power, on the other.
