Mr Courage Hope Goldberg-Grimm Lekettey, the Parliamentary aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Keta Constituency in the Volta Region, has filed his nominations to contest for the parliamentary seat. His nomination forms have been submitted to confirm his desire to join the Keta Parliamentary race. Mr Lekettey, after a successful filing process, told the Ghana News Agency that the battle line had been drawn for a massive campaign towards the parliamentary elections. 'I thank God for a successful exercise, and I am so excited for the smooth processes. My topmost priority is the youth who remain our future leaders,' he said. He said the youth had realised that Keta needed change, adding that the NPP was the only party that could bring the necessary changes and development, for massive economic growth. Mr Lekettey outlined some key areas such as education, agriculture, infrastructure development, health, sports, and others that would form his priority when given the nod to serve. He urged all to also vote massively for Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, the Presidential flagbearer for the NPP for progress, development, and a successful future for both the young and the aged. Mr Roger Avorgbedor, the Electoral Commission's returning officer at Keta, said the filing process had been smooth and successful. He said Mr Lekettey was the first candidate to file his nomination forms to contest in the upcoming December 7 polls. Over 50,330 eligible voters from the constituency were expected to vote to elect a parliamentary and a presidential candidate during the Election of 2024. Source: Ghana News Agency
