President of the Independent Local Authority for the Elections (IRIE) in Sousse Meriem Ben Njima, Friday, announced the approval of a final list of 390 candidates for the next local elections. Speaking to TAP, Ben Njima spoke of one candidate who withdrew from the electoral race after his candidacy was approved by the IRIE. She underscored that the IRIE had recently recruited 116 electoral observers, who took the oath before the cantonal judge, adding that members of the polling stations received a training session, and will be appointed in 183 polling stations in the region.
