Dormaa-Ahenkro: Mr. George Adjei, the Dormaa Central Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bono Region, has withdrawn from the Dormaa Municipal Chief Executive Position race.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Adjei has submitted his withdrawal letter to the Bono Regional Vetting Committee. While the reasons for his decision are currently unknown, his withdrawal has been confirmed by Mr. Daniel Hinne, the Deputy Dormaa Constituency Secretary of the NDC, in an interview with the agency.

Mr. Hinne noted that eight candidates, including a woman, are now competing for the position. He urged party members and supporters to remain calm and refrain from campaigning for any of the contestants, emphasizing the importance of allowing the vetting committee to carry out its duties without interference. He warned that factionalism could lead to problems within the party.
