Ada: Mr Anthony Yaw Klokpah, the former District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ada West District, has advised Ghanaians to put politics aside and unite to develop the nation, as the time for politicking is over. Mr Klokpah, who was the first DCE for the area, emphasized that every government that took power was for the good of all Ghanaians and not for political parties.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Klokpah stated that the President-elect was not for only the National Democratic Congress (NDC) but for all Ghanaians, highlighting the need to embrace unity and cooperation to foster development. He expressed gratitude to the Ghanaian electorate for peacefully electing a new President, contrary to the war, violence, and civic unrest predicted by experts and politicians ahead of Election 2024.
In an interview, the former DCE noted that many politicians deliberately propagate lies against their opponents ahead of elections as part of strategies to win power. He further stated that now that the politics is over, everybody needs to come on board for development. He called on Ghanaians to develop new mindsets as they step into a new era, encouraging all to put aside every challenge and difference to have new visions and strong determination to succeed.
Mr Klokpah urged that as the nation steps into the new year, people should put behind them all things that frustrated their individual developments, develop new ideas and strategies, and work as one people for a common developmental objective. He advised the youth to be instrumental in developing their respective electoral areas, districts, and the nation.
