Accra: The fourth edition of the Transport, Haulage and Road Safety (THROSA) Conference and Exhibition will bring together stakeholders to address issues concerning climate action in the transport sector, infrastructure financing, technology, and public safety. Scheduled for November 18-19, 2025, at the National Theatre, the two-day conference will feature a series of activities designed to foster collaboration and innovation in transport safety.
According to Ghana News Agency, the conference’s primary goals include promoting a 15% annual reduction in road crashes and pedestrian fatalities, as well as encouraging policy dialogue across various sectors. Additionally, a notable highlight of the event will be a two-day blood donation campaign to support victims of road accidents.
Attendees can expect keynote presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, all aimed at building a robust multi-modal transport ecosystem that can stimulate economic growth. Innovative solutions, including the introduction of a Sky Train system in urban areas and improved river transport networks, are on the agenda. These projects are designed to enhance efficiency and safety in transport while reducing carbon emissions.
The conference is on the theme, ‘Driving the Future Through Sustainable Connections: Integrating Road, Rail, Aviation, Sea and River Transport for Climate Action – A Call to Action by Stakeholders.’ The conference promises to be a pivotal event in the ongoing effort to create a safer and more sustainable transport landscape in Ghana.
