Kadjebi: The Kadjebi District of The Church of Pentecost has organised a mass wedding for 17 couples. The couples, who have been married between five and 32 years, took their vows at The Church of Pentecost, Kadjebi Central Assembly Chapel in the Oti Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, Reverend Samuel Ohene Abeka, the Kadjebi District Pastor of The Church of Pentecost, blessed the couples and emphasized that marriage is not merely a social contract but a divinely ordained relationship. He highlighted that marriage is intended for procreation, companionship, support, and as a reflection of the divine love between Christ and the Church.
Rev. Abeka urged the couples to maintain love for each other in all circumstances, whether in poverty or wealth, health or sickness. He encouraged them to raise, mould, and groom their children into responsible individuals.
He further advised the couples to provide emotional and spiritual support to each other during challenging times, as marriage is not meant only for good times. Some of the couples expressed their joy and happiness to the Ghana News Agency, noting they had been anticipating this occasion for a long time.
