Mr. Acheampong, who is preparing to run as a New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidate, delivered his address at the NPP Constituency Chairmen Caucus Conference in Kumasi, outlining his strategy for the upcoming NPP primaries.
According to Ghana News Agency, his statement emphasized unity within the party to secure power. Dr. Acheampong declared, "I'm not here to test the waters. I'm here for power," signaling his serious intentions for the campaign and promising significant results.
Dr. Acheampong highlighted his long-standing dedication to the NPP, reminding attendees of his journey from a grassroots canvasser to Member of Parliament and Minister. He expressed his readiness to lead and bring the party back to victory in the 2028 elections.
