President Kaïs Saïed met, on Wednesday at the Palace of Carthage, Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), Marouane Abassi, who presented him with the BCT's financial statements for 2022 and the report of the auditors. The meeting focused on the key role of the Tunisian Financial Analysis Commission (CTAF) in identifying illicit financial resources, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic. 'It is no longer a secret that money circulates illegally and those who benefit from these funds must be held accountable and sanctioned as required by law,' the Head of State was quoted as saying.
