According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, the prosecution informed the Court, presided over by Mr. Jonathan Avoogo, that the incident took place in the Guli community of the Wa Municipality. A proactive policing effort led to the arrest of Abudi on Sunday, April 13, 2025, a mere two days after he committed the crime on Friday, April 11, 2025.

The prosecution stated that Abudi was arraigned and subsequently received his sentence on April 23, 2025.
