Local elections/Nabeul 1: Campaigning underway in Menzel Temime delegation

The candidates for the Menzel Temime delegation (Nabeul governorate), Helma Saoud and Houssem Ben Rhouma, continue their campaign for the December 24 local elections. Saoud said he would work to bring municipal services closer to citizens in Erinine Imada by creating a constituency and reactivating the weekly market in the area, in addition to encouraging youth to launch their projects. In a statement to TAP, the candidate pledged to encourage young farmers by creating an irrigated area, a fodder sales point and rehabilitating periodic clinics and building a clinic in Menzel Issa. Saoud also said that his manifesto includes the construction of a youth centre and sports courts, a secondary school, a public library and a canteen, as well as paving roads and connecting this imada to the sewage system. For his part, candidate Houssem Ben Rhouma said his campaign was based on direct contact with citizens to discuss mechanisms to develop the region. He promised to spare no effort to develop the region in orde r to guarantee the best possible living conditions for the local population. Ben Rhouma also told TAP that he would improve infrastructure and schools and provide the region's hospital with the necessary equipment and staff. He also spoke of the need to set up support programmes for small and medium-sized projects in Erinine and to encourage young people to get involved in the economic cycle.
