Bowodie-Wassa Akropong: The Western Central Regional Police Command arrested three individuals for unlawful possession of arms and ammunition at Bowodie-Wassa Akropong in the Western Region.

According to Ghana News Agency, the suspects were identified as Hakeem Imoro, Imoro Tahiru, and Nurideen Wahab. They were traveling on a Grand Bird Bus, registration number AS 4431-22, heading towards Wassa Akropong when they were apprehended.

The report stated that a search of suspect Hakeem Imoro unearthed an SMG rifle and twenty-one rounds of ammunition. During interrogation, Imoro revealed that the firearm was entrusted to him by his employer for safekeeping.

Currently, the suspects remain in custody, aiding police with further investigations before any court proceedings.
