Tunisian-Algerian professional meetings in fisheries and fish production May 22-25 in Algiers

The Exports Promotion Centre (CEPEX) announced Sunday, through its commercial representation in Algiers, the holding of Tunisian-Algerian B2B professional meetings in fisheries and fish production from May 22 to 25, 2023 in Algiers.

The meetings that will take place on the sidelines of the "DJAZAQUA" trade fair "will be an opportunity for Tunisian companies specialising in fisheries and aquaculture to present their products and know-how to Algerian buyers."

The mission will include a prospecting visit to the "DJAZAQUA" fair, B2B meetings with potential Algerian buyers and visits to companies and production sites.

Hand – African Super Cup (placement match): CF Moknine finish 4th

Tunisia's Club sportif féminin de Moknine finished fourth at the African Women's Handball Super Cup, after losing to Congo's DG Sécurité Présidentielle 22-25 (13-12) in a placement match played Sunday in Cairo.

The title is currently being played between Angola's Primeiro de Agosto and its compatriot Petro Atletico.

The Tunisians had lost to Petro Atletico (14-30) In the semi-finals, while DGSP were defeated by Primeiro de Agosto (27-33).

Tennis – Tunisian junior team to take part in African championships in Cairo

The Tunisian junior tennis team will participate in the African Championships in this category, which will be held in Cairo from May 7 to 14.

According to the Tunisian Tennis Federation, the Tunisian team, which left for Cairo on Sunday, is made up of Nadine Hamrouni, Sarra Atig, Nour Sohnoun (ladies) and Ahmed Darmoul, Anas Ben Youssef and Skander Nsairi (men).

The Tunisian team will be coached by Anis Bouchleka and Bilel Soudani.

FCAT 2023: Erige Sehiri’s “Under the Fig Trees’ awarded

The jury of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) gave a special mention to the Tunisian co-production "Under the Fig Trees' directed by Erige Sehiri in the official section of the Tarifa African Film Festival (FCAT), which announced the list of winners of its 20th edition (28 April - 6 May 2023) on Saturday evening.

The special mention was awarded "for its excellent representation of community life, relations between different generations, between men and women, between tradition and modernity,' according to a press release from the festival.

Erige Sehiri's film, chosen to open the 20th FCAT, also won the TV5Monde Audience Award for Best Feature Film.
