Foreign Minister meets via VTC with heads of diplomatic missions in Asia and South America

Tunis: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, chaired on Monday two meetings via VTC with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Asia and South America, in the presence of the Secretary of State and officials of the Ministry. They discussed the latest developments in the ministry's activities and the government's work, and exchanged information and views on the development of bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation. The Minister called on the diplomatic missions to continue initiatives and intensify movements and contacts at all levels in the countries of accreditation in order to highlight Tunisia's positions on various issues. He stressed the importance of consolidating Tunisia's historical and distinguished relations with its partners in Asia and South America, preparing well for the upcoming dates, enriching the legal framework and further strengthening and expanding the areas of partnership, cooperation and exchanges within the framework of mutual re spect and common interests. This, while working to deepen, diversify and open horizons, especially with the emerging economies in the Asian and South American region, according to the same source. Nabil Ammar also reaffirmed the importance of continuing efforts to improve the level of consular services, protect the interests of Tunisians abroad, defend their rights, take care of Tunisian talents in all places, deepen relations with them, encourage them to organise collective activities, and use their expertise and relations in the country's efforts to achieve national objectives.
