A joint programme aimed at involving young people in the Paris-2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games was at heart of a meeting on Friday between France's Ambassador to Tunisia Anne Gueguen and a delegation of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee led by its President Mehrez Boussayène. The meeting offered the opportunity to discuss the broad outlines of a joint programme that will get underway in mid-December and involve sports federations, the Pierre de Coubertin sports school, French high schools, embassies and families in several governorates in the north and centre of the country, according to the CNOT. The goal is to promote the Paris-2024 Olympic Games among all Tunisians and residents of France and other nationalities in Tunisia. Several fan areas will be arranged to rally as many youths as possible around the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, to enshrine friendship and peace in the world, according to the same source. A steering committee will start work next week on implementing this programme, which has been dubbed "Tunisia, Land of the Games," adds the CNOT. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
